Rating legend

Every call on this site uses one of these ratings. Each rating comes with the levels it needs.

Ratings

Buy (full)
Full position at or below the buy-below: the blended base value less a 15%, 20% or 30% margin of safety, set by how uncertain the value is. Comes with an entry and an exit level.
Buy (half)
Half-size position (half the usual risk) at or below the blended base value, only when the red-flag review is Pass or Caution and there is a technical entry and stop.
Wait
Not a buy at the current price. The item says what price or event would change that.
Steer clear
I would not own it at the current price: the business, its filings or the red-flag review fail my checks.
Short
Price well above the high end of all three valuation cases, a failed red-flag review, and a fade trigger, a cover stop and borrow or squeeze data. Half risk, because losses are uncapped.
Withdrawn
A call taken back before it played out. It stays listed, dated, and appears on the scorecard.
Screen result
A name a screen surfaced. It is not a call and is not scored.

Levels

Entry
The price or zone where a Buy is taken.
Stop / out below
A daily close below this level ends a Buy. It marks where the idea is wrong. It is not a price target.
Fade trigger
The price action that opens a Short.
Cover stop
A close above this level ends a Short.
Failed-breakout level
A daily close below this level means a breakout attempt failed.

Superseded calls

A ticker has one live rating. When I publish a newer call, every older item on that name says "Superseded" with the date and a link to the current call. The older item stays up, dated and unchanged.

Scale history

  • Oct 7, 2026: three ratings, Buy, Wait and Steer clear.
  • Oct 11, 2026: five ratings, Buy (full), Buy (half), Wait, Steer clear and Short. "Starter" became Buy (half), and a plain Buy is Buy (full).
  • "Watching" (INTU, Oct 8 and Oct 9) was used before the scale was fixed. It is shown and scored as Wait.
